Legal Firepower for Veterans Still in the Fight for Benefits
At Currahee Legal, our name is more than a tribute - it’s a promise.
“Currahee” — a Cherokee word meaning “stand alone” — was the battle cry of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, an elite unit that trained to drop behind enemy lines and face overwhelming odds with grit and courage. The word came to represent self-reliance, determination, and strength in isolation.
As Veterans ourselves, we know that filing for VA disability benefits feels the same way — like being dropped into unfamiliar territory, forced to navigate a vast and indifferent bureaucracy alone.
That’s why we chose the name Currahee Legal. Not just to honor a legacy of resilience, but to answer it.
We stand beside Veterans who feel like they're standing alone — not just as legal advocates, but as allies in a system that often feels stacked against them. We carry the weight with them, push through every delay, and fight for the benefits they’ve earned through their service.
At Currahee Legal, we know what “stand alone” means — and we’re here so Veterans don’t have to.
